You’ve Been Gotcha’d!
Our “Gotcha” program has its roots in many school classrooms, “good news” media teams, and Candid Camera.
If someone sees a team member doing good, by living our Dasher values, that team member receives points for doing good. Points equal dollars. Team members can cash in their “Gotcha” points for cash or direct deposit.
The Gotcha we see and reward most often is for being a team player. It could be an associate who helped with a big project or someone who brought in food for their team.
Most good deeds attract 20 to 25 points.
If a team member achieved something major, the Gotcha rises to match the scale of the achievement. For example, if a team member took a class for six months and completed it successfully, they may receive $100 or 100 points.
Team members can also award Gotcha points to each other; it is not just the executive team deciding. The peer-to-peer component of this program is powerful and inspires a culture of caring. It fits with our goal of finding ways to uplift our people.
When others notice our efforts to do good and to do well, it reflects the words of the prominent rabbi Harold Kushner: “Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.”
At Dasher, this is who we are.
